Due Palme Serre Salento IGP Susumaniello 0,75 ℓ

Serre is a wine from Cantine Due Palme, located in the Cellino San Marco area, in the province of Brindisi. The company, founded in 1989, produces wines from typical Salento grapes, such as Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, Primitivo and Susumaniello. The vines are cultivated with Alberello Pugliese, the method of cultivation of the plant typical of this region. Serre is Susumaniello in purity, a vine typical of the high Salento whose name means loaded like a donkey , from the abundance of its grapes. After the manual harvest, the grapes macerate and ferment in horizontal rotating silos, and then refine 6 months in oak barrels. In the glass, the wine appears dark ruby red in color. The nose opens on aromas of ripe fruit, also in jam, such as cherries and plums, with notes of graphite. The sip is warm and full-bodied, well balanced between the fruity notes and the mineral part. Ideal in combination with baked pasta, roasted and grilled meats.
