Oestricher Lenchen Eiserberg Riesling 303 Spätlese - Spreitzer

In honor of the grandfather, the Oestricher Lenchen Spätlese 303 has been vinified since 2000. Of course, the wine comes from the same vineyard where the legendary Trockenbeerenauslese with 303 degrees Oechsle was harvested. The TBA from back then came from the Oestricher Eiserberg, a vineyard that was combined with the Oestricher Lenchen in 1971. The Eiserberg slopes towards the west, so it benefits from the afternoon sun. The soil is particularly rich in iron and is interspersed with clay, loess, red slate and quartzite. The result is delicately fruity wines, particularly full-bodied and rich in extracts. Slate and quartzite give the wines an exciting minerality and provide the best conditions for a complex and balanced, fruity wine, like this late harvest “303”.
