The year 2021 began with mild temperatures, which favored early flowering of the vines. However, frost events occurred in some regions, leading to significant harvest losses. High temperatures in the summer favored good ripening of the grapes. Although rainfall was sporadic, overall somewhat more abundant than in previous years. This meant that fully ripe grapes could once again be harvested from both the Syrah and Grenache Noir grape varieties. The Grenache grape once again produces an abundance of ripe, red fruits, while the Syrah grape provides a spicy note and depth. The bouquet is lush, presenting aromas of sour cherries, elderberry, cassis, and sandalwood. On the palate, a wonderful fruitiness unfolds with plenty of punch, combined with a noticeable yet very elegant tannin structure. This lends the wine, despite its fullness, elegance, smoothness, and a remarkable length that is unparalleled in the region. A magnificent, extremely fine wine!
