Meridia Verdicchio di Matelica DOC is a white wine produced in the Marche region. The grapes come from vineyards located 360 meters above sea level, with southern exposure and loose soil. The vines are between 20 and 40 years old. Winemaking involves cold static decantation of the must, followed by fermentation lasting approximately 30 days at a temperature of 17°C in 100 hl stainless steel tanks. The wine matures for 16 months in vitrified concrete barrels without decanting, with weekly agitation of the fine lees. The clarifications are carried out with must, without finishing. The wine has a bright straw yellow color. On the nose, it offers aromas of white fruit and fresh flowers. On the palate, it is fresh and mineral, with good acidity and a long and pleasant finish. It pairs perfectly with fish dishes, white meats and fresh cheeses.
