The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Beiras. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of slate and granite. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Vinha Maria Premium Vinho Tinto is aged for another 6 months in oak barrels.
