Flor de la Mar Tinto - Casa Ermelinda

Flor de la Mar Tinto - Casa ErmelindaFlor de la Mar Tinto - Casa ErmelindaIn the glass, the Flor de la Mar Tinto from Casa Ermelinda shows a dense purple color. The first nose of Flor de la Mar Tinto flatters with nuances of blackberries, black currants and blueberries. The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by more fruity-balsamic nuances. This red from Casa Ermelinda is the right choice for all wine connoisseurs who like it dry. However, it is never dry or brittle, which is not a matter of course for an entry-level wine. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is perfectly balanced. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region Douro & Porto finally inspires with considerable length. There are again hints of black currant and blackberry. Vinification of the Casa Ermelinda Flor de la Mar Tinto The starting point for Casa Ermelinda's premium and wonderfully powerful Flor de la Mar Tinto cuvée is Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Castelão and Syrah grapes. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by a few months of aging on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles. Food recommendation for the Casa Ermelinda Flor de la Mar Tinto This red wine from Portugal is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to leek soup, pumpkin casserole or vegetable couscous with beef meatballs.
