Montes Alpha Syrah

Folly sends greetings. The Syrah for Montes Alpha also comes from the extremely steep slopes of Apalta. At least part of it, another part grows further west, in the gently hilly Marchigüe. Just like the Viognier, which completes the cuvée with a salute to the Rhône. All grapes are picked and sorted by hand, fermented on the mash and the wines mature for twelve months in French oak (50% new barrels), a smaller batch in concrete tanks. Deep ruby red with dense aromas of ripe blackberries, plums, cherries, cassis and the sweet spice notes of barrel maturity such as cinnamon, dulce di leche and vanilla. Beautifully balanced, concentrated and full-bodied with gentle tannins and a seductively long fruity, delicately spicy finish. Enjoy now or store for up to 10 years.
