The Zinfandel Red Label of Francis Ford Coppola's Diamond Collection originates from ancient vineyards located in Amador County, Paso Robles and Sonoma, California. It is mainly produced with Zinfandel grapes and Petit Syrah grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature. Subsequently the wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, before being bottled. This Zinfandel has an intense garnet red color with violet reflections. The nose opens with elegant aromas of strawberry jam and wild blackberry, enriched with pleasant toasted notes. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with a good balance between hints of red fruits and cloves. This wine is perfect to accompany red meat main courses.
