The Frühlingsplätzchen vineyard faces southwest to southeast. The steepest vineyard here has a gradient of 70%. No wonder the snow melts fastest here, and spring arrives particularly early. The soil is predominantly red slate and gravel, often interspersed with red clay from the Rotliegend formation.Even the young wines are captivating with their playful, spring-like fruitiness. Peach and ripe apple are frequently associated aromas, but delicate herbal notes are also typical of the Frühlingsplätzchen. With a few years of aging, the minerality of these wines becomes increasingly pronounced, further enhancing their complexity.
