Margaux AOP - Château Siran

Margaux AOP - Château SiranMargaux AOP - Château SiranThe Margaux from the hand of Château Siran in Bordeaux presents a dense, ruby-red color in the swirled glass. When swirling the wine glass, this red wine reveals great density and richness, which shows in the legs on the inside of the glass. On the nose, this Château Siran red wine reveals all kinds of blackcurrants and blackberries. As if that were not already impressive, maturation in small wooden barrels adds notes of chocolate and toasted wood. This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this Frenchman enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. Powerful and multi-faceted, this velvety red wine presents itself on the palate. On the finish, this red wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region impresses with considerable length. Once again, nuances of blackberry and blackcurrant appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes from the soils dominated by gravel and silicate rock join in. Vinification of Margaux from Château Siran The basis for the powerful Margaux from Bordeaux is grapes of the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here the vines drive their roots deep into soils of silicate rock and gravel. Of course, the Margaux is also shaped by the climatic and stylistic factors of Margaux. In the best sense of the word, this French wine can be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an extraordinarily impressive way. The berries for this red wine from France are harvested exclusively by hand at optimal ripeness. After handpicking, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by 12 months of aging in barriques made of French oak. Food recommendation for Margaux from Château Siran This French wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15–18°C. It is perfectly suited as an accompaniment to duck breast with sugar snap peas, lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, or ossobuco.
