Celeste Verdejo - Miguel Torres

Ribera del Duero is considered a top destination for powerful red wines. But just a few kilometers down the Duero, Rueda shines with fragrant white wines. Here, near the river, the Verdejo for Torres' white Celeste also grows. The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness, immediately brought to the winery, and initially cold-pressed for three hours before starting the relatively cool fermentation at 14°C in stainless steel tanks. The wines then remain on the fine lees for two months and are then bottled. Celeste Verdejo seduces with an intense, varietal bouquet of fennel, green almonds, and white summer blossoms. Elegant and silky on the palate, with fine tension, lively acidity, and a beautiful length on the finish.
