Amancaya - Bodegas CaroThe Amancaya from Bodegas Caro is an expressive, characterful and seductive red wine cuvée from the Argentine wine-growing region of Mendoza. This red wine is vinified from the grape varieties Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine shows in the glass in a deep dark red with violet reflections. The nose presents floral tones of lilac and violet, nuances of elderberry and blueberry, as well as a hint of lovely vanilla, combined with a noble toast nuance. On the palate, this Argentine red wine is dominated by the fiery personality of Malbec and offers a rich, fresh berry fruit. Amancaya is considered the little brother of Caro, the bodega's Grand Vin, and combines the Argentine character with the Bordelais style. Vinification of the Bodegas Caro Amancaya After being carefully harvested by hand, the grapes are immediately taken to the cellar of Bodegas Caro. There, the berries are first fermented in stainless steel tanks. Once the fermentation process is complete, the Amancaya is aged for 12 months in barriques (20% of which are new wood) and therefore offers a rich, fresh berry fruit without overdone wood tones.
