The Italian Bitter Mèrida is a delicate and mineral gin produced in Padua, Veneto. Her name comes from Latin and means she who has achieved a place of honor . Mèrida is a liqueur whose production is characterized by four phases. Initially we proceed with the juniper distillate obtained from the infusion on a cereal alcohol base and subsequent distillation. Subsequently we move on to the infusion of botanicals individually on a grain alcohol basis only. Amber in colour, the nose highlights aromas of gentian, hops and dandelion and citrus fruits. It has a strong taste characterized by the marked note of juniper, the delicate scent of citrus fruits and the bitter aromas of roots and herbs.
