Janela Branca is a Portuguese white wine produced in the Vinho Verde denomination, in the northwest of Portugal, about 40 km from the coast. The vineyards are located at high altitudes and benefit from a Mediterranean climate with a strong Atlantic influence, which encourages freshness and balance. The fertile soils of granitic and clay-limestone origin contribute to the wine's aromatic expression. It is obtained from a blend of traditional regional varieties, including Loureiro, Trajadura, and Arinto, which together express the typical character of Vinho Verde white wines.Vinification follows a classic approach aimed at preserving the aromatic freshness of the grapes. After harvest, the grapes undergo a short skin maceration to extract delicate aromas and structure. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of around 25°C, allowing the wine’s fruity expression and natural vibrancy to remain intact.In the glass, it presents a fresh and light style. On the nose, it offers fruity and mineral aromas reminiscent of citrus and white fruit, accompanied by delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is lively and refreshing, with a balanced structure and a soft, slightly off-dry finish that enhances its easy-drinking quality.It pairs perfectly with salads, cold dishes, fish, and seafood.
