Château La Mission Haut-Brion La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan AOC Rouge 2ème Vin 0,75 ℓ

Château La Mission Haut-Brion La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion Pessac-Léognan AOC Rouge 2ème Vin 0,75 ℓDating back to the mid-16th century, the prestige of Château La Mission Haut-Brion began in 1682, when it passed into the hands of the Catholic church, or the friars of the Mission, to whom it owes its name, and to which it belonged until the French Revolution. During the 1900s the American Woltner family bought and substantially improved the property, from the cellar to the buildings. In 1983 it was bought by Clarence Dillon, the owner of the neighboring winery, Château Haut-Brion. The vinification takes place in large steel containers, while the aging takes place in new French oak barrels, where the wine remains for about 22 months. Deep garnet in color, the wine reveals itself to the nose with aromas of blueberries, red currant jelly, ripe plums and star anise, in addition to notes of red roses and vanilla. On the palate it is structured by a refreshing acidity and dense and ripe tannins. Persistent finish. The Château La Mission Haut-Brion goes very well with roast loin stuffed with black olives and herbs or with stewed game.
