The Lagrein Riserva Prestige of the Cantina di Bolzano is born in vineyards located within Gries, one of the districts of the municipality of Bolzano, in the heart of the DOC Alto Adige. It is produced entirely with Lagrein grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand between the end of September and the first half of October. Fermentation takes place in wooden barrels. Subsequently the wine ages for about 12 months in French barriques and large barrels, before being bottled. The Lagrein Riserva Prestige of the Cantina di Bolzano is characterized by a dark garnet red color with violet reflections. The nose expresses pleasant fruity hints of ripe cherries, enriched with notes of humus, vanilla and cocoa. In the mouth it is intense and persistent, with soft and elegant tannins. Perfect to accompany red meats, this wine is ideal in combination with game and aged cheeses.
