Nude Rosé - Bodega Kaiken
Nude Rosé - Bodega KaikenWith a delicately shimmering salmon-pink in the glass, Nude Rosé - Bodega Kaiken immediately draws all eyes. Fine reflections of pale copper reveal its origin in the sun-drenched sites of Mendoza. The colour appears clear and precise, almost crystalline, heralding a rosé of elegance and finesse. On the nose, a juicy aroma of ripe strawberry, fresh raspberry and firm pomegranate unfolds. Nuances of red currant, rosehip and a hint of rose petal join in. Delicate citrus notes of pink grapefruit add a refreshing accent. A fine, stony minerality underpins the wine and recalls warm pebbles in the Andean wind. On the palate, this rosé from Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache shows a slender yet concentrated presence. The texture feels silky and caressing, gliding gently over the tongue. The fruit remains clear and precise: strawberry, raspberry and pomegranate form the common thread, accompanied by nuances of ripe cherry and a touch of blood orange. The acidity is lively and taut, bringing freshness and tension to every sip. The wine shows a fine, almost imperceptible tannin structure that recalls delicate tannins and gives additional grip on the palate. As a result, Nude Rosé is not only fruit-driven, but also structured and serious, without losing any lightness. The finish lingers from medium to long and remains marked by red berry fruit and a hint of pink pepper. A very slight salty note reinforces the impression of origin and terroir. This rosé comes across as animating, elegant and at the same time wonderfully carefree. It fits perfectly into the modern rosé world, where clarity, freshness and drinkability are the focus. The Mendoza wine-growing region in Argentina lies at the foot of the Andes and offers ideal conditions for characterful rosés. Warm, sunny days meet cool nights, which ensure aromatic grapes with plenty of freshness. Soils of gravel, sand and limestone bring tension and minerality to the blend. This is where Nude Rosé - Bodega Kaiken comes from, a wine that shows the character of these high-altitude sites in the glass. The Cabernet Sauvignon variety contributes structure, fine tannins and notes of cherry and currant to the wine. Grenache adds juicy strawberry fruit, spice and a touch of Mediterranean flair. Together they create a rosé that appears clear, precise and modern. The dry style underscores the freshness and presents the aromas without unnecessary weight. Production of Nude Rosé by Bodega Kaiken The grapes for this rosé come from selected parcels in Mendoza. The climate shows strong temperature differences between day and night, which concentrate the aromas. Intense sunshine during the day promotes ripeness, while the cool air from the Andes at night preserves the grapes’ freshness. Gravel and sand soils with limestone content ensure good drainage and give the wine its fine, mineral vein. Cabernet Sauvignon grows here with dense structure and clear cherry fruit. Grenache contributes fullness, juicy strawberry aromas and a hint of spice. The combination of both varieties yields a blend with a balance of fruit, freshness and grip. The vineyards are under constant care; harvest time and vine management are guided by aroma and balance. The harvest is selective, and only grapes with optimal ripeness reach the cellar. There, gentle transport and rapid processing follow, in order to preserve freshness and bouquet. A short maceration time gently releases the colour pigments from the skins of Cabernet and Grenache. This is how the elegant salmon-pink that defines Nude Rosé is created. After gentle pressing, the must runs into stainless steel tanks. Fermentation takes place under temperature control to preserve the delicate fruit aromas. Cool fermentation temperatures promote notes of strawberry, raspberry and citrus and keep the wine clear and linear. Afterwards, the young rosé matures for a certain period on the fine lees. This ageing gives it the seemingly silky texture and a bit more volume on the palate. Finely stirred lees add extra depth and a subtle creamy feel without masking the freshness.
