Vinification of Leopard's Leap Unwooded Chardonnay The well-balanced Unwooded Chardonnay from South Africa is a single-varietal wine made from the Chardonnay grape. After hand-picking, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation, the wine is aged for several months on the fine lees before it is finally bottled.
