Vinification of Casella Friulano Colli Orientali This white wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Friulano. Only the best grape material was used for this exceptionally well-balanced varietal wine from Casella. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Here, the vines drive their roots deep into soils of clay and marl. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the press house as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, Friulano Colli Orientali can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 6 months. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to coconut-lime fish curry, spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, or a fruity endive salad.
