The nose is presented with lush fruit aromas such as sour cherries and dark berries, complemented by delicate oak, some gingerbread spice and clove. On the palate, these aromas are complemented by notes of cinnamon and tobacco. The fruity sweetness of the Terre Vecchio Vigneto cuvée of Primitivo, Malvasia and Syrah is beautifully balanced by a pleasantly light acidity and velvety tannins. The finish is soft and lingering. Vinification of the Terre Vecchio Vigneto from Apulia by Terre di Campo Sasso The grapes for this cuvée come from old vines with low yields and great aromatic complexity. They are selectively harvested, crushed and fermented on the skins for around 7 days. The wine is then matured in oak barrels for a period of 14 months.
