Riesling Kallstadt VDP Ortswein - Rings

From grapes grown in the young vineyards of Kallstadt. The area enjoys a cool climate, and the vines grow on limestone and calcareous marl soils. Vineyard management involves planting buckwheat, clover, and radish to improve soil structure and attract beneficial insects. Horse manure is applied as a natural fertilizer, and double shoots are removed by hand.After hand-harvesting, the grapes are pressed whole and fermented with natural yeasts. The wine is then aged in stainless steel and large wooden barrels. The result is a wine characterized by its powerful, chalky style and pronounced minerality.
