The Toscana La Lallera pays homage to the song of the same name by the great Florentine chansonnier Riccardo Marasco, which humorously refers to the love life of Florentine girls. This red wine is a blend primarily composed of Merlot, with small percentages of Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The grapes come from soils of Eocene origin, composed of limestone and marl.The carefully selected grapes are vinified separately in stainless steel tanks, where maceration also takes place, which is essential in defining the wine's aromatic profile. The malolactic fermentation occurs in traditional cement tanks, while aging continues for 12 months in barriques, contributing to refining the character and harmonizing the aromatic and structural components.The wine features a deep ruby color and offers notes of black berry fruit, accompanied by hints of licorice and tobacco. The presence of Cabernet and Petit Verdot adds complexity with spicy notes, herbal hints, and a tannic structure, giving the wine a full yet balanced structure.La Lallera pairs perfectly with tasty red meats and aged cheeses.
