Patrick Baudouin Blanc Effusion Anjou AOC 0,75 ℓ

Patrick Baudouin's Blanc Effusion originates in the province of Anjou, located within the Loire Valley and constituting a major French wine-making appellation. It is made up of pure Chenin Blanc grapes from two vineyard plots that have a volcanic origin. For this reason, the soils are defined by the abundant presence of effusive volcanic rocks, sandstones, silica and shales. The vines have an average age of about 30 years. Once the grapes are harvested and transported to the cellar, this is softly pressed and transformed into must. The fermentation takes place in steel by the action of indigenous yeasts and is followed by a period of ageing in oak barrels from Burgundy. At sight it is straw yellow. The bouquet slowly opens, without the haste to completely reveal its hidden scents; first, a fruity note of apple emerges, then leaving room for a herbaceous stamp and a background of pleasant and clear minerality. The sip is of great balance and plays on an intertwining of flavour, freshness and finesse, inserted in a medium body. The mineral character marks persistence. Perfect to accompany a sashimi and all fish dishes in general.
