Kaltern Kellerei Sauvignon Stern Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC 0,75 ℓ

The Alto Adige Sauvignon Stern of the Kaltern-Caldaro winery is born in vineyards located in the municipality of Caldaro, in the province of Bolzano. It is produced with 100% Sauvignon blanc grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in mid-September. Fermentation takes place slowly, with maceration at low temperatures of 10-18 hours, partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in large barrels at a controlled temperature of 16 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages on fine lees for about 5 months, before being bottled. The Alto Adige Stern of Kaltern-Caldaro is characterized by a bright straw yellow color, with slight greenish reflections. The nose opens with pleasant notes of gooseberry and elderflower, enriched with hints of exotic fruit. On the palate it is fine and elegant, full-bodied and soft, with a persistent and fruity finish. This white wine is perfect to accompany tasty vegetables such as asparagus and onion, delicious meat croutons and fish dishes.
