At the rim, this Italian red also shows a transition to garnet red. If you give it a little air in the wine glass by swirling it, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which can be seen in clear stained glass windows at the edge of the glass. This Italian cuvée presents wonderfully expressive notes of blackcurrants, blueberries, blackberries and mulberries in the glass. There are also hints of vanilla, black tea and cinnamon. On the palate, Brancaia's Ilatraia Rosso Toscana starts off wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. This dense and fleshy red wine is full-bodied and multi-layered on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region impresses with a beautiful aftertaste. Vinification of the Ilatraia Rosso Toscana from Brancaia The starting point for the first-class and wonderfully powerful Ilatraia Rosso Toscana cuvée from Brancaia is Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese grapes. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Ilatraia Rosso Toscana is matured in oak barriques for a further 18 months.
