The 2022 vintage in Tuscany, especially in the Chianti region, is rated overall as very good to excellent: The year was characterized by a hot and dry summer, which resulted in smaller yields in many regions, but concentrated and aromatically intense grapes. Thus, a worthy successor to the rightly highly acclaimed 2021 vintage is followed by a worthy successor. On the nose, dark berry fruits compete for attention with violets, nutmeg, and the familiar coffee aromas. The diverse aroma is complemented by sour cherries and herbs. On the palate, juicy fruit thanks to the fully ripe grapes and fine tannins, which already blend well with the youthful wine. All in all, very balanced and of a high standard for an entry-level wine!
