Vinification for the Zonnebloem Merlot The grapes for this Merlot from Stellenbosch were hand-picked and then fermented for 10 to 12 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was aged in a combination of French and Ameican oak barrels, as well as steel tanks for a period of 12 months.
