The fruity components of the bouquet are joined by blueberry, black cherry and garrigue. This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a true quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler grades and thus, despite all its dryness, this Italian enchants with the finest balance. Flavor does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Balanced and complex, this velvety, dense and fleshy red wine presents itself on the palate. The finish of this red wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige winegrowing region, more precisely from Trentino DOC, is ultimately distinguished by a lovely aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the clay-dominated soils. Vinification of Nicolodi Alfio Schiava Nera This red wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Vernatsch. For this wonderfully balanced varietal wine from Nicolodi Alfio, only flawless grape material was harvested. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Trentino-Alto Adige. Here the vines drive their roots deep into clay soils. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly brought to the press house. There they are selected and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation is complete, the Schiava Nera can continue to harmonize for 5 months on the fine lees.
