On the palate it is full-bodied and juicy with fresh fruit, mild acidity and a harmonious residual sweetness. The Samtrot is the youngest offspring of the Burgundy family and a natural mutation of the Schwarzriesling. The grape variety was discovered in Weinsberg in 1928. The Samtrot is a noble and elegant representative of the large Burgundy family.
