Grauburgunder trocken - Klumpp

Grauburgunder trocken - KlumppGrauburgunder trocken - KlumppThis barrel-aged Pinot Gris from the Baden winegrowing region presents a bright copper-gold color in the glass. The nose of this Klumpp white wine shows all sorts of quince, nashi pear, apples and pears. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds other aromas such as brittle, juniper and green peppers. This dry white wine from Klumpp is something for wine connoisseurs who would ideally have 0.0 grams of residual sugar in their wine. The Pinot Gris is already quite close to this, as it was pressed with just 5.2 grams of residual sugar. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Pinot Gris is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. Vinification of the Pinot Gris from Klumpp The balanced Pinot Gris from Germany is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Pinot Gris grape variety. In Baden, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay. After the grape harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Pinot Gris can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 3 months.... Food recommendation for Klumpp Pinot Gris This German wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to baked sheep's cheese parcels, spaghetti with caper and tomato sauce or potato pan with salmon.
