Primitivo Puglia IGT - Palazzo MalgaraThe intense, dense red color of Palazzo Malgara's Primitivo resembles a radiant ruby. A whole fruit basket full of blackberries, redcurrants, elderberries and other dark fruits (cherry, plum) fills the nose. Spicy notes of cedar and some cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of rosemary round off the aromas on the nose. This Italian red wine shines on the palate with its fruity, warm and floral style. A full, juicy and velvety body is revealed on the palate. The finish is wonderfully pleasant and soft. Vinification of the Malgara Primitivo After careful harvesting, the grapes from the Palazzo Malgara winery are destemmed and crushed. The resulting mash is fermented in stainless steel tanks and the resulting wine is matured in barriques for six months. Recommendation for the Primitivo from Palazzo Malgara This red wine from Apulia is an excellent accompaniment to roast beef with buttered carrots and mashed potatoes as well as spicy cheeses.
