Pinotage Cellar Selection - Kleine ZalzeWith the Kleine Zalze Pinotage Cellar Selection comes a first-class red wine in the glass. In this it shows a wonderfully dense, purple color. In the glass, this red wine from Kleine Zalze offers aromas of plums, plums, black currants, black cherries and blackberries, complemented by oak, cigar box and toasted barrique. The Kleine Zalze Pinotage Cellar Selection presents itself to the wine drinker wonderfully dry. This red wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. This velvety and powerful red wine is full-bodied and complex on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Pinotage Cellar Selection flatters with a pleasing mouthfeel without lacking freshness. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the Coastal Region wine-growing region finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of blueberry and mulberry are evident. Vinification of the Kleine Zalze Pinotage Cellar Selection This red wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, Pinotage. Only the best grapes were used for this exceptionally powerful single-varietal wine from Kleine Zalze. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
