Ultra Malbec - Kaiken Wines

The name says it all. KAIKEN Ultra is anything but ordinary. The single-varietal Malbec marries three rather dizzying high altitudes in the Valle de Uco: Los Chacayes (1250 m), Altamira (1200 m) and Gualtallary (1300 to 1600 m). The climate up here can be harsh, but it produces a Malbec of outstanding quality, powerful, expressive and lively. The best grapes are picked by hand, strictly sorted and gently fermented on the mash. The wine matures for twelve months in French oak, then another six months in the bottle before it is finally released for enjoyment. Deep red, with a seductive scent of dark fruit and spices. On the palate, concentrated, full-bodied, complex and smooth, with a perfect balance of ripe tannin and juicy acidity.
