The Trentino Superiore Gewürztraminer from the Castel Firmian di Mezzacorona collection originates in high altitude vineyards located in the heart of the Trentino DOC. It is produced exclusively with Gewürztraminer grapes, harvested and selected exclusively by hand in late September. After a soft pressing of the bunches and maceration for 24 hours in contact with the skins, the must ferments at a temperature of 16-18 ° C with selected yeasts. Subsequently the wine ages in steel on its lees until the end of winter before being bottled. Trentino Superiore Gewürztraminer Castel Firmian di Mezzacorona is characterized by an intense straw yellow color with amber reflections, due to the long permanence of the grapes on the skins. The nose expresses a characteristic floral and spice scent, enriched with pleasant notes of tropical fruit and wild flowers, among which the dog rose stands out. On the palate it is full, soft and balanced, with an intensely aromatic aftertaste. Perfect to accompany fish-based appetizers, grilled shellfish and asparagus, it is ideal in combination with oriental dishes or as a meditation wine.
