Auxerrois VDP.Ortswein Lahrer Wöhrle

Like Chardonnay, Auxerrois belongs to the extended Burgundy family, but it still has an exotic status in Germany. On the other hand, the grape variety has been one of the favorites of local customers for decades in the Wöhrle winery. It has been cultivated in the family's vineyards since the mid-1950s, now on a good 2 hectares. Not entirely dissimilar in aroma to Pinot Blanc, but significantly lower in acidity, Auxerrois impresses with its fragrance and fruitiness. Apricots, peaches, pear, Galia melon and lots of ripe mango. Thanks to the good amount of carbon dioxide in the freshly bottled wine, it is very stimulating and juicy. An elegant wine for the summer terrace.
