Vinification of Sommersemester from Weingut Studier The basis for the first-class and wonderfully balanced Sommersemester cuvée from Weingut Studier is Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. In the Palatinate, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay and loess soils. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery without delay. There they are sorted and gently crushed. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After fermentation has finished, Sommersemester is allowed to continue harmonizing on the fine lees for several months.
