Blaufränkisch Heide Burgenland Braunstein - Weingut Birgit Braunstein

Blaufränkisch is an interesting variety with a rich spectrum of flavors. If the winemaker doesn't get his wine properly tamed, acid and tannins can sometimes be quite acrid or brittle. Not so with Birgit Braunstein! Marzipan and lots of sour cherries, ripe blackberries and black pepper, chalky, long-lasting minerality. Despite all the complexity, a lot of play and pleasantly tasty in the attack.
