In the summer of 1993, the Buglioni family, a long-established family of restaurateurs, fulfilled a long-held dream and acquired an old farmstead along with five hectares of vineyards and olive groves. Today, the business has multiplied in size, but all of the Buglioni vineyards are located in the original Valpolicella Classico region, the hilly area east of Lake Garda with the best locations on the Sant'Ambrogio plateau and the San Pietro valley. This is the only white wine produced by the Buglioni family from valuable native grape varieties. It is a minerally fresh wine, aged for only four months sur lie, or on the lees, in stainless steel tanks. It received its name, The Desperate, because no one could agree on a name for this wine. Ultimately, it became Desperate out of desperation. Color: light straw yellow. Aroma: intense bouquet of tropical fruits like pineapple.
