Pignacolusse Magnum - Jermann

PIGNA: refers to the Pignolo variety and the grape's resemblance to a pine cone. COLUSSE: cadastral name of the vineyard. The pignolo, like the ribolla, the piccolit and others, is one of the very old varietals of Friuli, having almost completely disappeared until recently, some winegrowers have revived it. The wine is put on the market 3 years after the harvest. The label continues the idea of Capo Martino, namely to produce important wines from local, historical varieties, with production and vinification methods anchored in tradition. Depending on the vintage, dry plums, carob, leather, cocoa and coffee stand out in the bouquet, and in the mouth it is strong, robust, with lots of tannins.
