Cloudy Bay Te Wahi Central Otago Pinot Noir GI 0,75 ℓ

Te Wahi of Cloudy Bay is a pure pinot noir born in the vineyards owned by Calvert and Northburn, located in the New Zealand region of Central Otago, the southernmost wine region in the world. This wine fully reflects its essence and for this reason Te Wahi, or The Place in the Maori language. Pinot Noir bunches are harvested manually around the middle of April. The must undergoes a short cold decantation, then undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel for 2-3 weeks. Followed by 14 months aging in partially new French oak barrels before being placed on the market. Wine with an intense ruby red color, it has delicious notes of cherry and plum on the nose, accompanied by spicy hints ranging from oak to cinnamon and cloves, with earthy, smoked and mineral hints, supported at the end by a pleasant floral texture . On the palate it proves rich and fruity, with well-rounded tannins and a drinkable acidity that guides towards a finish of great persistence. Ideal in accompaniment with first courses with truffle, it goes very well with all game second courses, even stewed.
