Kiedricher Turmberg Riesling Qualitätswein trocken - Robert Weil

The excellent microclimate of this sheltered south-southwest-facing, elevated vineyard site, with its high temperatures and ample sunshine, combined with good ventilation and correspondingly long grape hang times, results in small, intensely flavorful grapes when combined with the poor phyllite soil. The resulting dry wine is characterized by high minerality and complexity, yet also by finesse and elegance. The vineyard name Thurmberg/Turmberg, or simply Berg, derives from the remaining keep of the former Scharfenstein Castle. The south-southwest-facing slope features stony, gravelly soils, a high phyllite content, and gradients of up to 60%.
