Le Mortelle Poggio alle Nane Maremma Toscana DOC 0,75 ℓ

The Maremma Toscana Poggio alle Nane is the wine symbol of the Le Mortelle di Antinori estate, located a few kilometers from the seaside resort Castiglione della Pescaia. It consists of the best Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to which a small percentage of Carménère grapes is added. The must obtained from the soft pressing of carefully selected grapes is transferred by gravity into stainless steel tanks, then sent to fermentation with maceration for 20 days at a controlled temperature of 28 ° C. Carries out malolactic fermentation in barrique and ages for 16 months in French oak barrels. Wine with an almost impenetrable deep ruby red color, it has an intense and complex impact on the nose, with notes of black currant and ripe blackberry well integrated with sensations of licorice and eucalyptus. In the mouth it is structured and enveloping, with well-polished tannins that guide towards a finish of beautiful persistence. Excellent in combination with lamb and roast meats, it is ideal with all game-based recipes.
