On the palate, the wine displays abundant cassis, wild blueberries, and roasted plums, accompanied by a mosaic of violets, licorice, tobacco leaves, and fragrant earth. The medium-to-full body, silky tannins, and velvety texture make this wine very approachable in its youth, and the underlying firm backbone provides enhanced richness with additional cellar aging.
