Saar Riesling feinherb - Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof

Saar Riesling feinherb - Nik Weis St. Urbans-HofSaar Riesling feinherb - Nik Weis St. Urbans-HofThe Saar Riesling feinherb from Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof in the German wine-growing region of Wiltingen on the Saar (Wiltinger Schlangengraben site) is a balanced, highly refined white wine that is pure in grape variety. In the glass, this wine glows a brilliant pale straw yellow with sparkling highlights. The nose is caressed by a magnificent bouquet of juicy apples, tropical fruits - especially mango - floral notes of white flowers as well as mineral hints. On the palate, this German white wine convinces with a slightly fruity residual sweetness, savory acidity and a wonderful mineral saltiness. All components are perfectly balanced and give this wine its animating, invigorating character with full power and elegance. Vinification of the Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof Riesling Saar In the single vineyard Wiltinger Schlangengraben, the Riesling grapes are rooted on red slate interspersed with river sediments such as sand, gravel and clay. The vines have an age of 40 to 60 years. Once the grapes arrive at the winery of Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof, they are spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, this varietal white wine is aged in stainless steel tanks. This perfectly preserves the clear, fresh aromas. Food recommendation for the Nik Weis Riesling Saar St. Urbans-Hof This dry white wine from Germany is an excellent companion to dishes of Asian chefs. Gladly hot, exotically spiced, like chicken curry. Awards for the Saar Riesling from Nik Weis St. Urbans-Hof Robert M. Parker - The Wine Advocate: 90 points for 2017 Wine Spectator: 91 points for 2016
