Originally from Guatemala, the Ron Zacapa XO Solera Gran Reserva Especial is a super premium aged up to 25 years, first produced in 1976 on the occasion of the centenary celebration of the foundation of the city of Zacapa. Agricultural rum which, unlike industrial rums, exploits the fermentation and distillation of pure cane juice and ages in several French oak barrels according to the Solera system. The last step takes place in European white oak barrels that previously contained French Cognac. With an intense amber colour, the Ron Zacapa XO opens to the nose with warm and elegant hints of ripe fruit, with slight flavours of wood and notes of bitter cocoa. On the palate it is soft and round with pleasant aromas of almond, vanilla, spices and red fruits. Long finish with a slight reference to the notes of ex-cognac wood. Meditation rum.
