The Pinot Nero Meczan from Hofstätter is produced on the gentle hills of Mazzon, in the province of Bolzano.It is made exclusively from Pinot Nero grapes, which are entirely hand-picked and selected. After a partial crushing and destemming, fermentation takes place in barrels for about 10 days, during which the must is in direct contact with the skins.The Pinot Nero Meczan is characterized by an intense ruby red color with garnet highlights. On the nose, it reveals exuberant notes of small wild berries and cherry. On the palate, it has a rich, smooth taste, fine and balanced.Perfect for pairing with noble poultry and roasts, it goes beautifully with first courses with meat ragù.
