Saldo red wine is born in California from Petit Syrah, Grenache, Syrah, Mataro, Verdelho and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, coming from over 100 vineyards located in Santa Barbara County, North Coast, Central Valley and Monterey County. The grapes are vinified in thermocontrolled steel tanks. Subsequently the wine ages in both French and American oak barrels for approx. 9 months. Intense ruby red in colour, the wine reveals a bouquet of blueberry, black mulberry, sweet spices and licorice on the nose. The sip is full-bodied, with round tannins, with a long finish. It goes well with rich grilled red meats.
