Seddon Single Vineyard Pinot Noir - Villa Maria

On the south bank of the Awatere River, the river has left two sheltered terraces where Pinot Noir is now maturing. Seddon is the name of the vineyard, and it delivers this unique wine that smells of cherries and raspberries. A soft texture on the palate, a juicy acidity and nuances of chocolate from the maturation in French oak give this wine its very special note. Medium-strong ruby red, attractive, expressive bouquet of juicy ripe blackberries, raspberries, dark plums, violets, cherries (cherry brandy), underlaid with slightly smoky notes and earthy notes (forest floor, undergrowth, dried leaves). Very elegant, aromatically concentrated and complex with the fresh, dark fruit of the bouquet and sweet spicy notes, fine-grained, velvety ripened tannins give the Seddon Pinot Noir its silky texture on the palate, with impressive freshness and finesse in the final.
