The Zellertal Pinot Blanc grapes grow in several parcels on the south-facing slope below the village, where calcareous clay soils with occasional loam inclusions impart a precise minerality. After careful pre-selection, the grapes were harvested at a balanced sweetness-acid ratio, left on the skins for eight hours, and then gently pressed. Cool fermentation and six months of lees aging lend the wine additional finesse and structure before bottling. In the glass, it displays clear, juicy fruit, fresh acidity, and a minerally characterized, invigorating finish – uncomplicated Pinot Blanc enjoyment with charm.
