Barolo del Comune di La Morra DOCG 1,5 l Magnum - Brandini
Barolo del Comune di La Morra DOCG 1,5 l Magnum - BrandiniThe Barolo del Comune di La Morra 1.5 l Magnum, aged in cask and originating from the Piedmont wine-growing region, presents itself in the glass with a dense ruby red color. When the glass is slightly tilted, a transition of the wine’s color towards garnet red can be seen at the edges of this barrel-aged wine. After the first swirl, this red wine reveals high viscosity, which shows in church windows on the glass wall. On the nose, this Brandini red wine displays all kinds of sour cherries, raspberries, and plums. As if that were not already impressive, additional aromas such as licorice join in due to the aging in large wooden casks. This Italian wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor profile. It was bottled with only 0.4 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly sets itself apart from simpler qualities and thus, despite all its dryness, this Italian enchants with the finest balance. Excellent flavor does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. Thanks to its lively fruit acidity, the Barolo del Comune di La Morra 1.5 l Magnum appears wonderfully fresh and vibrant on the palate. The finish of this matured red wine from the Piedmont wine-growing region, more precisely from Barolo DOCG, ultimately convinces with a remarkable length. Vinification of Brandini Barolo del Comune di La Morra 1.5 l Magnum This wine clearly focuses on a single grape variety, namely Nebbiolo. For this exceptionally powerful varietal wine from Brandini, only the best grape material was used. After hand harvesting, the grapes are brought to the winery as quickly as possible. There they are sorted and gently crushed. Fermentation then takes place in large wooden vats at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by a maturation period of several months in oak barrels. Food recommendation for Brandini Barolo del Comune di La Morra 1.5 l Magnum This Italian should ideally be enjoyed at a temperature of 15–18°C. It pairs perfectly as an accompanying wine with vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, lamb ragout with chickpeas and dried figs, or braised chicken in red wine.| Prezzo |
